Hello, my name is Destrie Hayhurst. I am a Colorado native, born in Denver and I grew up in Palisade, Colorado. Growing up in and around the agriculture of the Western slope, I was able to experiment with different jobs including: orchard laborer, greenhouse attendant, personal house cleaning and moving, and pre-school teacher's aide. I soon realized that I had a passion for helping people and decided to go to school and become a certified nurse's assistant. After completing school, I discovered that a nurse's assistant would not be the home I had hoped for in the medical field. I then went back to school, attending IntelliTec College in Grand Junction, Colorado to become a dental assistant. As soon as I began school at IntelliTec, I knew the dental field was my passion and would become my home in the medical field. I graduated from IntelliTec in August 2010 and re-located back to the Denver area. I enjoy the new opportunity the city has to offer, however, I do miss my small town atmosphere with open fields and tractors. I love the outdoors and try to escape to the mountains every chance I can to hike, camp, fish, shoot, etc. Other hobbies I enjoy are spending time with my wonderful family and group of friends reading, going to concerts, movies and most of all, riding horses. I look forward to meeting all of you and treating you with a kind smile and the best possible care I can offer.
